Galaxy "Andromeda" Release 1805.1

We are pleased to announce the availability of Galaxy "Andromeda" Release 1805.1. This release contains the following enhancements and new features along with various bug fixes:

  • Created the galaxy_spacewire_star application to support the STAR-Dundee SpaceWire USB brick Mk2 and Mk3. This is a companion to the spacewire1355_collector application that only supports the Mk1 USB brick.

  • Added TLS/SSL support to client TCP sockets created using the Galaxy Sockets API. This functionality is only currently implemented when acquiring telemetry.

  • Added the total_retransmission_count status mnemonic to the CCSDSStandardCommandConfigurationComponent.

  • Modified the Telemetry Injector application so it no longer depends on a running X server.

  • Added the ability to set the spacecraft ID in a telecommand definition and using the CMD directive.

  • Added the ability for make_load_file application to create a load file only using a portion of a binary file.

  • Added a REVERT option to the LIMITS directive to revert limit values back to the values from loaded database.

  • Added a DemuxComponent to support demultiplexing buffers through the graph based on ID values obtained by a defined tuple.

  • Removed DBus binaries and libraries from the Galaxy distrubtion. They are no longer necessary and were causing compatibility issues with RHEL 7.5.
